POSITION PURPOSE: - Primary responsibility is for all aspects of the Accounts Receivable Function, Credit and Collections. - Individual is also responsible for maintaining the fixed asset accounting system and assisting the General Accounting Manager in maintaining the GL, closing accounting periods and preparing for audits. DIMENSIONS: - Professional Position. Exempt eligible for OT. - Receives work direction from the General Accounting Manager. - Must interact professionally and effectively with internal and external customers. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES - Initiate and follow sound credit and collection procedures to support sales growth while protecting the Company’s investment in accounts receivable. - Process credit applications, establish credit lines and terms, review aging reports and systematically make collection calls. - Research and resolve account discrepancies, release sales orders, monitor accounts for modification to credit lines or terms. - Provide weekly forecast of cash receipts and maintain cash flow projections. - Process daily invoices and cash receipts. - Maintain a computerized fixed asset accounting system. - Prepare weekly and monthly reports for sales, inventory, capital spending, and other activities as required. - Maintain and reconcile inter-company accounts between the US and other APP locations. - Assist the General Accounting Manager in maintaining the GL, closing accounting periods and preparing for audits. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Provide backup support for the Accounts Payable functions during periods of absence and peak workloads. - Participate as a member of a Project Team and/or Cross Functional Team as required. - Perform other related duties as required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: - BA/BS in Accounting or equivalent with a minimum of one to two years related experience. - Experience with business accounting systems, & related software required. - Good Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: - Usual office working conditions. - Regularly required to sit and stand, and move about the facility. - Required to be able to read documents and computer screens. - Occasional exposure to shipping and receiving elements such as dust, and noise.
