March 14th, 2008 - Good Morning Breakfast

The March 14th breakfast event featured former Providence, Rhode Island mayor Vincent 'Buddy' Cianci. Mayor Cianci is the longest serving mayor of Providence, and one of the longest serving "big city" mayors in United States history, having held office for over 21 years. Mayor Cianci has also received widespread recognition for his development of The Providence Plan, a decade-long mission statement which answers the city's public safety, educational, housing and employment needs. He spoke to the Breakfast attendees about his role in urban redevelopment and paralleled downtown Fitchburg with that of Providence. The breakfast was sponsored by the Mall at Whitney Field.

The event also recognized all of our businesses (that responded to our inquiry) that have been in business for atleast 50 years. These businesses are truly the Honor Roll in North Central Massachusetts.
